Prom Night

LOCATION: School , Philippines

TAGS: ballroom, party, prom night, booze

PUBLISHED: April 27, 2008

This song reminds me of the day we had our Prom, not in a romantic kind of thing, but more of on the funny side of it. It is such a beautiful song, and I still think that it is. It's just that my friends can't seem to get over the fact that I would laugh every time I hear it. Maybe they think I'm crazy, or that there is some heartbreak associated with it. They were wrong.

Prom Night, everybody was in a very partying mood. Everyone was dressed up for the occasion. Some even took the opportunity to criticize someone else's garb. A lot was there for the booze. Some was happy to be there, because they can spend a night with their boyfriends and/or girlfriends legally (as if!). Even the teachers were very lenient for the first time in our natural high school life (isn't that fun!). Basically it was fun-fun-fun!

I decided to dance with one of our teachers, and in the midst of the jolly fever, we then started to dance in a ballroom kind of way. The D.J. picked up the beat and started playing ballroom music for everybody's amusement. We were cheered on for the most part of the dance, when suddenly as we were doing our moves, my teacher suddenly lost grip of my hands that sent me falling down on my ass!

Everybody was trying hard not to laugh, and in a split second, and thanks to the D.J. he started playing Everything I Do I Do It For You. My friends run to where I was and created some commotion to somehow divert the attention - as if that would help. Thankfully everybody was kind off wasted, or so I thought because I was never made to forget about it for another week or so.
