MTV (India) played his videos non-stop and I was hooked. You may not believe this, but it was not just his looks (long blonde hair flying in the wind...), or his charged songs featuring supermodels (which would naturally appeal to the teenager I was then). No, it was his songs. Really. The lyrics got to me. And his voice. Ah! Those songs got me through pleasant and some difficult years. Whether it was the sudden death of my father, a job I didn't care for or a broken heart, Bolton's songs kept me company. All these decades later, MB (as I like to call him for short), still gives me goosebumps. I was over the moon when my husband and I got to see him perform at the Royal Albert Hall in London. I had never thought I'd have the opportunity. But I did. And it was amazing. The songs *still* had the same effect and he looks much, much better now that he's older and he's chopped off that hair. I've recently discovered MB loves opera. With a voice like his, he should sing it more often.
