Fully-Charmed LifeLOCATION: Home , SharonYEAR: 1997TAGS: past, memory, seventh gradePUBLISHED: June 11, 2008Memory has the strange power of correcting reality, re-making events to how they should have and could have occured in a fully-charmed life. When I think back to the yesteryear of 1997, it is this song the chorus of this song that corrects all of the wrong done on earth. I was 12-13, entering junior high, and being confronted with thethings that make you wish you had been conferred with blindness. Or, secretly, in your large heart, that someone older, wiser, more loving would cover your eyes like the picture on the cover of the album. But, now, to me, this time just seems like "Do-do-do-doo-ti-do-doo!"ad infintium. I don't remember the times I wished I was back in elementary school. I don't remember the times I feared finding a seat at the cafeteria. I don't remember the times I was threatened by a girl who promised to beat me up. I don't remember missing Reading class. I just remember my new friends, a small, new measure of freedom, walking around town, scoring good grades, quitting baseball, flirting, and listening to this song over and over again. It's strange--I still distinctly remember all of the words.
