A Wonderful SpringLOCATION: My Apartment , East Lansing, MIYEAR: 2004TAGS: college, first apartment, first love, AerosmithPUBLISHED: March 17, 2008I've loved Aerosmith for a very long time, but it took on new meaning during the spring of 2004. That spring was a time of intense change for me. It was my last semester at Michigan State, I had a new boyfriend (Brian, my boyfriend), and I was looking for my first full-time job. At the time, I lived in an apartment with three other undergraduate women. We got along OK, but by then tensions were running high during the spring of 2004. We had lived together for almost a full year, and we were all ready for change. As I worked my way through my last semester of classes and my relationship with Brian took off, I grew further apart from my roommates. Brian came to visit many times during those rainy spring weekends, and I count it amongst the best times of my life. There is nothing like new love, especially after you've been a friend to the person for years before you started dating. This song will always remind me of that spring, spending lazy weekends with Brian. I will cherish that spring always. Already there are times when I wish I could get that romance back into my life. It was that special. I doubt that I'll ever have those feelings again in my life, but I have a lifetime of memories of that spring. There is nothing like facing the world head-on with a new love that you've known for a long time. I am convinced that friends make the best romantic interests. Friendships make wonderful foundations for romantic relationships.
