Cruising Fine

I met a pretty girl in Kauai, Hawaii in February 1996. We exited the small airport for the rental car place. For $20 per day and unlimited mileage, we were given a choice of the last two cars on the lot.

Choice 1: A pink Suzuki Samurai.

Choice 2: A brand new white convertible Ford Mustang.

Gosh, what to do...what to do.

We drove that Mustang hard - it's a rental. If you've ever enjoyed the splendor of Kauai, you know it offers sweet drives. The pinnacle moment was cruising the spectacular Waimea Canyon. Top down, speeding and swerving on the curves as this song cranked. I can tell you that we tested every feature of that car including a few while parked.

Pulp Fiction was another great movie with a great soundtrack. The song Bullwinkle Part II from it takes me back to Kauai, a pretty girl, and cruising fine along beautiful deep cliffs displaying a rainbow of colors. Oh yeah.
