"What's Love Got To Do With It" (1984)

I was probably in fifth grade then, and this local TV station had a weekly show for kids. I think it was called The Children's Hour- and it had the usual trappings of a kiddie variety show: kiddie news segments, kiddie games and prizes, kiddie hosts- and puppets.

Haha yeah, I was one of those kiddie hosts back then, but I remembered on this one particular Sunday, I was hanging out behind this booth where the puppet-guy would sit, and he had these two puppets: Frankie, a slightly dim-witted frankenstein monster-type puppet, and Marty, who was supposed to be this smart-alecky martian character.

Though I forgot the name of the puppet-guy, I just remembered this one time when he'd have both puppets in hand, and we'd all sing to Tina Turner's "What's Love Got To Do With It"- while he was teaching us how the mouth movement had to sync with the words of the song.

It was the coolest thing for me at the time- and I think I was ten or eleven then.

I still think "What's Love Got To Do With It?" is a very cool song.  And it's on my mp3 player to this day.
