I tried hard to make something more out of it, but that really was it. Nate and I were friends because of and through volleyball. So to hang out with him outside of just playing together, I invited him to a tournament with me. He said yes or course and came with me. I drove and chose the music. One CD in particular we listened to was an upbeat guy mix my brother Bryan made me. I remember in particular listening to the song "Wouldn't It Be Nice" and thinking about how nice it would be if we could just get past this whole volleyball thing and start dating. It didn't actually ever happen, but we did have a great time at the volleyball tournament.
