EFY Dancers

The summer before my senior year I went to EFY with my friend Ashley at Southern Virginia University and had a great time. I'd never been to EFY before because my birthday was right before the cutoff date or I'd had other conflicts. So I was really excited to go. When we got there, we checked in at the front desk and got the keys to our rooms. We found out that we were actually in a huge corner room sharing with another two girls that ended up being awesome. We were also the only room that held four people so we had a great time staying up late at night. After checking in that night, we went downstairs for the first complete EFY get together. I remember that night watching the EFY counselors come out for the first time and getting so excited as the song "Kung Fu Fighting" came on and all of the counselors did their little dance with punches, kicks, and jumps to the different beats. That was the EFY song and dance for the week, and everytime we had a dance, the counselors always started it off with the Kung Fu Fighting dance. Our counselor actually taught it to us after devotional one night, but I was always too embarrassed to actually dance with the counselors so I forgot it shortly after I learned it. But I will always remember the sound effects and punches all of those counselors made every time I hear "Kung Fu Fighting."
