Thanks To A Friend

I was on holiday in Cyprus and had recently been given this album by a friend for my birthday. I was not that enamoured with the album artwork for some reason and that made me not listen to it. One day whilst lying by the pool, I pulled it out and put it on my discman (hahaha, well it was 15 years ago!) I think I lay transfixed on my sunbed and didn't even go for lunch with my family - for me to miss food, it really had to be an emergency....

As soon as the album was finished, I went right back to the beginning and started over. It remained clamped to my ears for the whole holiday and is rarely far from my stereo to this day.

I had quite a stressful day whilst travelling once - close to being stabbed, mate missing for 2 hours and no money - but after everything was sorted I sat down with a big drink and this album. All was right with the world again.

I haven't seen the friend who gave me this album in about 10 years. I owe her bigtime.
