Playing Sega with my Brother

I can't remember the exact year my brother and I got a Sega Genesis, but I do remember getting it for Christmas. A lot of people have negative connotations about video games and the negative affects they can have on children, but it's funny how much my brother and I bonded while playing them. We had a number of Genesis games and every so often we would become extremely hooked on any one of them, whether it was Sonic & Tails, Mortal Kombat, Virtua Fighter or any others we had. There would be times when we would both wake up on weekends and play together all day, laughing and both getting excited over the same things. Sure, we probably could have bonded outside doing actual physical activity, but that's beside the point.

We both still live at home, and every so often we drag out the old Genesis or Nintendo consoles to re-live those old games we played together as children. Some of the classic games are still as fun now as they were back then, and I think there is an unspoken bond my brother and I have whenever we play video games together.
