This One's for the DudesLOCATION: My Old House , Eldred, PAYEAR: 2004TAGS: Strength, relationships, butch walkerPUBLISHED: February 15, 2008If ever there was a song that wasn't 'just for the dude's', as Butch likes to say, it's this one. I'm pretty sure we've all been in those relationships where you feel like you're the only one making the effort, the only one keeping your mouth shut, and the other person seems to effortlessly glide through life without a care in the world. The first time I heard this song, my mind screamed 'Yes!' (in it's best Dane Cook impression). It was like Butch said, 'Hey, you deserve better than this. You don't need to be romantic roadkill for this guy. He's not worth it and he never really had you to begin with'. Oh, Butch. You speak to me with such grace and humanity. It's like you know what I feel. Must be because you do. So, to the guy who thought it was cool to tear my heart into a thousand pieces and then think nothing of it, here's to you. I put it back together and you never had me to begin with. Viva la Butch Walker.
