The Needle Started BendingLOCATION: Home, Bradford, PATAGS: rolling stones angiePUBLISHED: February 13, 2008This is the first song I actually remember hearing and then learning how to play it over and over again. I can still see the cover as clear in mind today as I did back then (29 years ago). My dad had the LP and I would play 'Angie' over and over again, until the needles needed replaced. I still don't know what drew me to it, or what it said to me back then, but I knew I needed to listen to it and it was touching something in me that I didn't know was there. Today, I can still get goosebumps when I hear it. I still hear Mick's voice and the pain and the sadness of loving someone, losing someone, and still saying you still love them and that 'Hey, we tried' and that's something. When there's no lovin' in your soul and no money in your coat, you can still love the Stones and you can still love Angie. Hell, you can still be Angie and know that life goes on, even after love doesn't.
