We went to the see the band this past Monday.  All I can say is "WOW".  I'd seen them last summer with the Goo Goo Dolls at Darien Lake, in Buffalo, but this was so much better.

The venue is small, about 1500 seats and a terrific view from wherever you sat. We started up in the balcony and went out for few minutes between the opening bands and Lifehouse.  We come back in, we are right on the floor about (Sweetie says 20-30 feet from the stage.  I have no depth perception, so I’m taking his word here.) and we decided to stay down there.  We moved up a little, Lifehouse comes out, and they were AMAZING.  A much more intimate feel and better acoustics in the small venue. From what I can remember, they did "Broken", "From Where You Are" (this one surprised me, since it’s not on any of their CDs), "Simon", "You and Me", "First Time", "Hanging by a Moment", "Somebody Else’s Song", part of "Quasimodo" (the entire thing would have been nice, but beggars can’t be choosers.),"Whatever it Takes", "Make Me Over", "Bridges" (Bryce, the Bass player sang this and actually did a great job, almost sounding like Jason.), "Better Luck Next Time", AND that’s all I can remember.  Oh, they also had their extra lead player on hand for the show.  He’s amazacrazy good.

The last song they did was this one, "Broken" from the "Who We Are" CD.  We were down close enough that we could see everyone, especially Jason, up close, but yet kind of secluded, so we had room.  We put our arms around each other, closed our eyes and just slow-danced through the whole song.  It was like the world went away and we got serenaded by Jason Wade.

Our first concert together, hopefully many more to come, but never will there be another Lifehouse concert where "Broken" gets sang right to us.
