It Shined on Me...

LOCATION: My Car , Wellsville, NY

YEAR: 2006

I got a copy of the Exile CD last year, after remembering the dual LP my dad had when I was a kid.  Sadly, the only song I remembered was 'Tumblin' Dice'.  Not that it isn't a great song, but their stab at gospel is just a sweet, guilty pleasure.

I can listen to this song over and over again, and still get goosebumps.  It's kind of like seeing a sunset and when Mick says' like the evening sun' the whole world makes sense.

If only I'd remembered this song earlier, I would have got the CD way before 2 years ago.  I am a Stones fan, but wasn't as much of one until I got my new copy of 'Exile'.  It's well worth the listen and 'Shine a Light' will lift your spirits no matter how down your soul feels.
