NOT an easy task... so here goes...

I'd had this CD for awhile, couple of years in fact, before I really got attached to it. Loved "Fall to Pieces", and "Dirty Little Thing" after it was recommended by a friend. But I didn't really LISTEN to it until late in 2007. (Went through a nice big life change and needed something else to think about.)

"Track one, side one", as Jack Black would say, is "Sucker Train Blues". This is the craziest, most ridiculous, absolute-ist make-no-sense-song ever written. Even moreso than anything by say, Iggy Pop or the Ramones. I mean, no sense at all. But it's like a drug. You get hooked, want another injection asap and must learn the lyrics so you can sing along and make no sense yourself.

I won't quote the lyrics to the first verse here, as they would need to be edited for content, and that's no fun. So, second verse, different from the first "Brain and body melting while there's roaches multiplying,It's the alien infection it's the coming of Christ. All these sentimental halos and these consequential angels, When I'm runnin with the devil don't deliver the fight."

Get it? No? Welcome aboard. Welcome to mindless enjoyment and total time-to-turn-off-my-brain nirvana. I'm 37, have heard pretty much everything and this is the song I choose as my favorite. Choo. Choo. And goodbye Scott and good luck being back w/ STP. VR won't be the same without you.
