Just remember..... I'm coming Back to YouLOCATION: Park , Lawton, OklahomaTAGS: basic back to youPUBLISHED: April 26, 2008My boyfriend at the time was about to graduate from basic training for the Army at Fort Sill, OK. Naturally, I traveled up from Texas with his family to see him on Family Day. That night we were able to take him off post and go to the park. After eating a picnic dinner with his family he asked me to walk with him to the car. Without hesitation I said ok and walked hand and hand with him past the duck pond to the car. He then proceeded to turn on the radio and put in a CD. The sun was beginning to set. The stars were faintly visible. He than began to play Brian Adam's Back to You and asked me to dance with him.
This really suprised me because through the year and a half that we dated in high school I had never known him to be a "mushy or sensitive guy". After the first verse he whispered to me that no matter how far we were from each other and no matter where the Army would take him we would still be under the same stars and he would always come back to me. This occured in 2001, we married 5 months later. In May, we will be celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary. We have made it 9 years of being together, three moves, and are currently on our 3rd tour in Iraq......through all this he has kept his promise to come back to me. :-)
