Not so long ago there was this guy crazy about me. Everyone at work knew Adam had a major crush on me. It is not that he is a bad person but besides the reality that I am taken already the chemistry isn’t there. We can be friends, great buds but unfortunately for him that is as far as I can go. Ironically, the one thing which could have brought us together is what has drawn us apart. Adam tried too hard – the phoning, surprise bouquet of daisies, date requests left me feeling nauseous repelled by him. Anyway not that it matters anymore- I am more than content with my lover.

Adam was so desperate to have me as his chick and became even more desperate with each passing day. After I turned him down, he asked my friends to talk to me several times about his abiding affections for me. Adam got so daring I was left devastated. There is a programme on local radio known as the afternoon request show aired weekdays between 2.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m.. I just happened to be listening to the radio that day and there was Adam’s letter being read.

He had dedicated the song, ‘To the moon and back’ for me on national radio. I don’t know how guys manage to extract personal information about their crush but he had all my details. Such desperation!. No wonder he is still single to this day. Actually he might have hooked up with one of my former chess rivals if rumor is anything to go by. Good luck to her- Mary could just end up on the moon, I would not put it past Adam.
