Louissa's Kitchen Tea!

Going to work has enriched my circle of friends, as our company encompasses people of all ages and backgrounds. I had never been to a kitchen tea party until recently. One of my friends Louissa tied the knot last year around mid December. We were all so happy for her. All twelve of us were invited to her wedding held at the Rainbow Towers hotel.  We all knew Louissa had been in a long-term relationship with Jack a shrewd salesman, whose office was not very far off from our premises. The two inseparables had been going out together for close to five years and  they were finally going to tie the knot.

But first things first there was the kitchen tea party organised two weeks before their wedding. I did not want to miss out on it, not even for the world. After I warmly wrapped up Louissa’s gift; a set of silver cutlery as was the colour theme of the function, I grabbed the phone and called Johanna a workmate. She lived nearby and a few minutes later she arrived to pick me up.  The two of us made our way to the Meikles hotel where the party was hosted.

By the time we arrived lunch; grilled chicken and fried rice was just about to be served and we later had baked egg custard for dessert. The meal was to die for but the music was even better. Louissa enjoys music from Aaliyah, the late gifted singer. The afternoon was dedicated to her albums-nothing else was played in the six hours she hosted us. The both of us had this dance to Aaliyah’s ‘More Than A Woman’ we normally practiced during lunch time at work and they just had to play it at her wedding too!.
