I Think You Will Make A Great Model!

Timothy, the man whom my world has revolved around for close to three years claims to have been searching for a beautiful girl before we hooked up. Other factors were essential to him too like being in love with a well-mannered, humble partner. He had dated prior to our relationship and of all the girls  has been with, he constantly states that there is only one who wears the beauty crown. He would say that wouldn’t he? especially since we are head over hills. Anyway, Tim tells me all the time about how beautiful I am even if I can spot a couple of zits and pimples all over my face. For the past two years he has been persuading me to do the most daring thing on my part. He wants me to enter a beauty contest.

‘Go on, why not give it a try, it is so obvious you will win’ are his major uttered statements. I have never imagined myself as a model, up the ramp competing against a hundred other bevies for a crown and title. Quite frankly, I do not think I will like to be a model. The closest I got to being a model was when I went for a grooming course. But Tim to this month has not let the matter rest, only becoming more adamant by the day. The short height aside I can never be a model for other reasons. For instance, I am passionate about my food. There I have said it!. I can not deny myself crisps, burgers, fries, samoosas, sausage rolls and queen cakes so as to watch my figure.

Now why would I want to punish myself like that? particularly when no one from my family is genetically thin. I am also more of a Tom Boy and being a model would mean having to act lady like all the time even when I am not on the ramp. These are the arguments in favour of my decision to be an Accountant instead but Tim continues to bring the subject. One day I was with his best friend- Wayne. We were out playing golf in a tranquil residential area. Wayne asked him why he really wanted me to be a model, well he said because she is ‘The Most Beautiful Girl In The World, as Prince rightly stated’.
