I Can Finally Unwind! ! !

When I finished my final year of high school in October 2004, the next logical thing seemed for me to get a job. Approximately one year later, I had done just that. I found myself working for a small but growing firm as a receptionist not very far off from my place.

All my life I had envisioned myself buying cute handbags, expensive perfumes and satisfying all my other cravings with my very first paycheck. Initially, this proved difficult. I had to take care of the most pressing needs such as getting an entire new wardrobe among other accessories.

I learned the hard way that money is not easy to come by. After what seemed like months of debts and endless bankruptcy I finally managed to break even. I was neither incurring expenses nor having any surplus left over after spending my ‘flat’ payslip. Eventually I finally managed to buy myself what I really wanted, not what I had to, for the very first time.

I live for Maroon 5, to this they happen to be my favorite boyband and theirs was the very first album I bought after months of struggling to make ends meet. This was a turning point for me. It meant I could finally breathe. ‘Sunday Morning’ happens to be my favourite hit. I bought the album on a Sunday after coming from the morning church service and immediately played it as soon as I got home. By the way did I mention the small droplets of rain falling on that day?.
