Good-Bye Loser

Although we all have flaws some are more pronounced than others. I can not even begin to mention my inadequacies. I am short tempered and have a tendency to act impulsively, for instance. But my greatest weakness is that I am emotional at heart. This did not go down well with my first boyfriend. He was everything, well so I thought until he dropped the bombshell on me and for the next few months I could barely face another day. In happier times, he was all that I wanted and more; drop dead gorgeous, humorous, clever and way too romantic.

Anyway after we had been going out a couple of months, I found out he was cheating.  I have always known that most men cheat- it is a fact but like every other naïve chic I thought Chris would be different. I earnestly believed he would be in the minority of faithful men. Guess I was wrong!.  After we broke up, it took weeks for me to come to terms with the fact that our relationship had stopped blossoming. I even found it difficult to confide in my best friend, who practically knew everything going on in my life.

I was more like L.Woods the Legally Blonde actress after she was left by her boyfriend- an emotional wreck. But fortunately, like the famous actress, I managed to rise up to the challenge. It was not until I listened to Cher’s ‘Strong Enough’ that I consciously made up my mind to stop crying and to face the world again. I convinced myself that of all the guys in the world there is only one right for me and six years later it looks like I have found him.
