I have always known dressing to be scandalous but not dancing until I got the shock of my life. This is mainly because I never went out clubbing until after high school. Anyway it had been my friends idea- she suggested that we go clubbing. I remember after we wrote our final exam we got together and came up with a list of all the things we were to pursue after school.

Clubbing was first on Jenna’s list. She loved dancing and hence persuaded me to give it a shot. I  braced myself- ‘a few hours will not kill’ so I thought. It was on a Friday and the club located in the heart of the city was bombarded with teenagers. Although we arrived pretty late to them the night had not even begun. I was expecting to see a bunch of teenagers having harmless fun but what I saw was deeply depressing.

My heart went out to the adolescents feeding their minds with crack and alcohol. Some of them were already ailed before midnight. They could have been at home studying, solving puzzles or pursuing some other intellectually stimulating activity. Drinking and smoking aside the girls were dressed in skimpy revealing clothes. Red seemed to be their dominant colour- a symbol of what it meant to be daring.

Such foul language filled with cursing and swearing was exchanged from the youngsters to the DJ himself. In fact, the DJ seemed to add fuel to the fire. Drunk already, he blasted music loud enough to deafen one’s ears. But the worst thing was yet to come- the dancing. The teenagers danced as if there was no tomorrow and some of then ended up barely dressed. What a scandalous night and the song just had to be played!!.
