Dancing To Stay AliveLOCATION: Neighbourhood , HarareYEAR: 2008TAGS: Slimming, Jogging, Cinema, Pills, ResolutionsPUBLISHED: April 29, 2008I must admit I have not been proud of myself lately. One of my resolutions this year was to remain hale and hearty, fit as a fiddle. I have never been one to diet, as I end up eating even more afterwards only to regain the original weight loss. As for the diet pills and slimming belts lets just say I am not that desperate. As a result, I resolved to watch my weight through the safest method- through exercising. Initially, this began well. I would get up each morning thirty minutes earlier than usual get into my tracksuit, reach for my walkman and then jog around the neighbourhood, stopping to inhale the fresh air and to hear the birds sing sweetly periodically. This was in January. But come February I had to force myself out of bed and by March I had limited going around the neighbourhood twice if not once a week. As for this month, well I have ceased jogging almost completely. But the good thing is I have not failed to completely honour my resolution. I have been doing some dancing instead having been a member of the aerobics club whilst still at school. I mainly dance to ‘Switch’ and when I am really feeling up to I could spent a whole hour dancing in the morning. At least the hit gets my body moving back and fourth and besides it has got my favourite actor in it. Which reminds me I have been meaning to watch Will Smith’s latest movie, ‘I Am Legend’ know showing at the cinema. Better be this weekend!.
