Some Time It All Works OutLOCATION: Calgary Saddledome , CalgaryYEAR: 1989TAGS: Bon Jovi, Jon, Ticket, friendsPUBLISHED: March 3, 2008When I was going to a lot of concerts in Calgary I had a friend who always went with me. We shared some great times but none that stand in my memory like Bon Jovi’s New Jersey tour.  J hadn’t been able to get tickets at the same time I did so it looked like she wasn’t going to be able to go. At the time I was in college and boarding with my parents. Two hours before the concert a friend of my father’s was over and mentioned that someone he knew was selling tickets. I got on the phone and yes this person had two available and was selling them for the listed price. Unfortunately he was on the other side of town but my father offered to be my chauffeur. I phoned J and told her to get dressed. She was going to Bon Jovi. She started to ask questions but I didn’t have time to answer.  We drove to pick up the tickets, which took all the money I had, and then drove to pick up J. From there my father dropped us off at the Saddledome. I had an extra ticket but no time to sell it. I didn’t get a tshirt because of lack of time and money. We got to our seats just before the concert started.  Bon Jovi always puts on a good concert and this one was no different. Our seats were close enough that I could see the sweat on Jon’s face. J and I left, walking for a couple of hours and singing ‘Bad Medicine’ as well as any other Bon Jovi tunes we could remember at least most of the words too.
