Reincarnation

I never gave much thought to reincarnation. It was more an abstract idea and something other people talked about. It didn't seem real to me. Then one day in early September of 1975 I met some one I felt with every fiber of my being that I had known before. There was an instant undeniable connection. My heart and soul told me I had known this man my entire life and every previous life I had everlived.

As he stood there in his cut off jeans, long blonde hair and the most incredible green eyes I'd every seen. (that is until I saw my daughters green eyes) I thought two things. First I thought, There you are and second, I thought, Damn what beautiful babies he would make. (and I was right)

He was one of a group of people I was going to a concert with. One of the first "Rock The Vote" concerts. Only it wasn't called that yet. The Eagles were there, Linda Ronstadt, Loggins and Messina and so many more, I canhardly remember. It was awesome and I registered to vote at one of the tables they had set up. Cool idea.

He and I spent the first part of the concert looking for partners for each other. We felt we already knew each other so well we could pick out that perfect someone for the other. The Eagles were playing Take it to the Limit, and I remember he turned to me and said you are perfect for me. At that moment I knew this was the man I was going to marry. The rest of the day was spent trucking around and enjoying the music. He kicked a sprinkler for me and created a geiser to cool me off. I always manage to find water to cool off in. It eventually created a mudslide for the rest of the concert goers. It was a blast.

We married 7 months later. And after 25 years 3 kids, 5 grandchildren and 2 breakups, we divorced. Somehow our friendship and amazing connection has survived through it all. We almost got it right this time. Maybe in our next life we'll make to 50 years.

Interestingly enough, my daughter, on a whim, went to a physic one time and without even mentioning her parents, the physic told her her parents had a strong connection and had been in love and together in most of thier previous lives. I am a believer.
