I'm proud of my girls. More proud then they probably realize. Proud of the women they have become, Proud of the Mothers they are. The three of us are very close, and even that is an understatement. Mothers and daughters,

I hear this song and it brings tears to my eyes and I see my girls Both of them, so different and yet, both the same. I have the privilage of being thier Mom and also having them as friends. They were always good kids, (for the most part anyway). But they have grown into two very beautiful strong loving young woman with families of their own.

Sometimes, well honestly, it was more then sometimes, they seemed to fight to point their Dad and I were ready to pull our hair out. Yet somehow, when it mattered the most they had each others backs. Or when the fighting would get really bad and we were ready to go in and separate them before they killed each other, We'd suddenly hear them giggling and laughing. Those girls were too much.

In their teenage years, our house was filled with their friends. Our house seemed to be the designated hang out. And we loved it. (mostly) Those years were filled with laughter and love and of course angst. Teenage girls can be oh so dramatic, and yet these two could be so down to earth too. When their Dad left the first time, the drama that could have come with that was not there. Well I take that back, there was drama of course, my husband left, and their Dad was gone. How could their NOT be drama. But it was not false drama it was all very real and painful. But we had each other and we dealt with it the best we could. The house was still filled with their laughter (though a bit more subdued) and their friends. Life goes on and they knew that.

My girls, so different, yet so very much alike. These two miracle, God gave to me, give me strength every singleday of my life.
