The Rollercoaster of LifeLOCATION: A264 , SussexYEAR: 2008TAGS: rollercoaster of life, ColdplayPUBLISHED: November 15, 2008"Just because you're losing doesn't mean you've lost" Had a bit of a scary week this week - new job, new responsibilities, what am I meant to be doing?! I wasn't the biggest fan of this Coldplay album (they have been a bit of a soundtrack to the emotional teenage years, so I have a nostaligic affinity to them). But I heard this song driving home in the middle of this week and have now formed a Coldplay memory for the non-teenage years. A former colleague used to say half way through the day, "Are we winning?" (as in how are we getting on). This week I felt that I was losing. This song came on and alongside some supportive words from various bods in my life I made the turning point. As Mr Martin was so earnestly trying to express, you aren't screwed, its only a blip, a mini-descent on the rollercoaster of life. So I suppose, taking the rollercoaster of life analogy a little further, Coldplay were the 3 or so metres of horizontal metalwork at the bottom of the rollercoaster allowing me to be propelled back up. Coldplay have been propelling me through the blips since 2000.
