Permission to let go

Now the thoughts keep flowing.

Massive fan of Bjork. The main reason is that she (like those others who are equally unafraid to fully expose their crazy sides) almost gives you permission to let your eccentric traits out.

I just found myself (like everytime I hear it) dancing along to this song in a Bjork-like manner ie disrhythmic, disjoined contorted excuses for dance moves. But why not?! Why, when dancing do I have to writhe like 50 Cent's hunnies like his videos show me to? Or like underage impressionables in my local club ?!

She also is so aware of the power of using her voice as another instrument.

One of the best live acts I have ever seen and despite this being the 143rd (approximately) time I have listened to this album, I still marvel at it.

And now a little plea, to those who hear "Bjork" and immediately writhe in disgust - is this genuinely yours or society's reaction? Why not open your mind a tiny fraction and actually listen. This is how I was converted, why not give it a go?

End of plea
