Where should I begin? Well, you can start by reading part 1 of Chasing Cars at this link: http://www.jamsbio.com/contest/natas ha. I was the first of 4 winners under for the Natasha Bedingfield Concert Jamsbio contest of essay winners and very proud and surprised to say so.

Last night was phenominal. I chose the tickets for the Cincinnati show and my daughter and I went last night.

So what does Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol have to do with Natasha Bedingfield? Well, if you haven't read the first part, please do. It all started with me signing up for NB's contest to win tickets and sharing a music memory (Chasing Cars), as it tells you a story about how at the end of the day it just doesn't matter what goes on in your life with the drama around you, but rather what you can get out of life and those that are in it that surround you.

Those that pass on, and have left something behind truly never leave you, and this story gave me just the example to show others that point being true.

Last night, I took my daughter to see the concert as I won the tickets, and was standing in the middle of the crowd, smiling and thinking of my dear friend I had written about that to my dismay got me to win the tickets to this concert I was standing in. Johnny passed away at the age of 37 on April 7, 2008. I miss him, and thought of him all night as I stood there thinking of all the concerts I had been to, the ones with him and how my daughter was about to embark her own new journey in her life as I opened the door to her first show and gave her, her own music memory to remember forever.

This morning I woke up and wondered as I always have- are they still with us somehow when they go? Those we love? The cars we have chased... Was John still hangin around? Or was the last of his remains of his life just a long ride away after chasing his car to his final resting place, and is that the end? DO they just leave the memories behind? Or do they somehow come around in spirit, through energy, faith, religion, power of the unknown to let us know they are still with us?

Just as I thought of him smiling and wondering if Johnny had something to do with me winning those tickets to her show that he wouldn't be caught dead in:), I was browsing my projectplaylist.com to see her new tunes and add some songs to my blog................ and there it was....

Natasha had actually remade the song "Chasing Cars"!!!!!! Of all the songs in the world, she chose that one. And I had just seen it for the first time as I was thinking of him.

Coincidence? Perhaps. But still, was a reminder to me once again that life is short, listen to the words of life that come to you, not just a song, and the reminiscing of those that left you, because at the end of the day, nothing else matters but you and those you love.

Thanks to Jamsbio for giving me an opportunity and music memory I will never forget.
