HeartbreakLOCATION: My Room , Nagoya, JapanYEAR: 2006TAGS: heartbreak, lovePUBLISHED: February 15, 2008It was a cold January day. I probably spent an hour sitting outside with the snow dusting me crying profusely as I slowly tried to gather my composure. It was as if someone had taken a knife and stabbed me right in the heart then twisted it just for fun. He told me we needed to break up. I tried to calm myself down as I walked back home. Whenever I need to get away, I pop on my iPod and pull away from reality. It just so happened that Christina Aguilera’s “Walk Away†came on as if I was meant to hear it at that moment in time. Her tone was slow and deliberate, forcing me to hear her lyrics. I felt her anguish through her words. I probably played that song over and over ten times as I circled around my building. That song became my anthem for the next two weeks.
