To help ease the homesickness, my roommate and I would play "All I Want For Christmas Is You" to the loudest setting and would attempt to belt out the worst off-key singing as possible. We did this every night after work in December leading up to Christmas day. Word got out to our friends that we sang Mariah Carey every night and were being pressured to perform for a big audience. So, on Christmas day, a group of us walked into karaoke and of course, the first song on rotation was "All I Want For Christmas Is You." My roommate and I belted our hearts out much to the chagrin of the audience. People cheered and my boyfriend hid his face in embarrassment. But, I had a great time. Â Â
