He makes any rainy day, feel goodLOCATION: Peforming Arts Center , MentorYEAR: 2006TAGS: seductive, ethereal, harmony, growing up, healingPUBLISHED: March 23, 2008He brought ethereal to the table rather the stage the night I got to see 'mr cassidy' perform this song at Mentor Performing Arts Center. He gave Ohio an absolutely great show, I know I was there. I have loved and followed his career from early beginnings and appreciated the bubble-gum rock songs that he popped right through, c'mon sherman was good but cassidy was and still is, the best. He expresses a so-important cuddly yet seductive way to approach every and all awkward situations. This cover tune he did is a favorite because i think it is far better than the original. David can make you feel an emotion even if he isn't sympathizing with you, he helps you visualize. He has a gracious relationship with rhythm, sex appeal and entertainment quality; as Jack did. In my life thinking up as a teenager, he was an idol. In the sense of carrying around his pic in your wallet or having a huge poster of him in your room, I had the latter and his music was a constant that never disappointed me as some permanent things in my life, did over and over. If an argument ensued over something, I would run to the phonograph and just escape into his world because mine was not fun anymore. After a few lyrics made their way into tranquil spaces between youthful frustration, I could resume a family tolerance and assist in making things better than aggitating making them worse. I don't think it was just because I though whoooa is he really a hottie . . . When music is a soothing replacement for the chaos my thought processes create for me, which is sometimes cognitive dissonance, confusion and sadness, I can clarify the reason for utilizing that coping mechanism or justifying adopting that perspective. It is difficult to explain or even understand because some see Mr. Cassidy as a lesser-established performer. I see him and his work as an affirmation of why an emotion is released as it is. With "Ain't No Sunshine" a happiness based on the illumination of fondness, is felt when I hear this. I know what sunshine means when addressing melancholic frustration and while living something a melody can capture that something perfectly, as David has with "Ain't No Sunshine".
