Do-Overs are very Rare !

The sun was already high enough in the sky and it was the end of May, so tanning was all I wanted to do, at least for the morning and afternoon part of the day. As always with my water bottle, sunblock and car keys, I make it to the parking lot and open the car door letting out a rush of hot air. I start her up and flick on the radio. Cher just started this song and it brought me to tears. It was during our 'hiatus' from one another that times were really touch, he is still so indecisive as men can generally be more than women, but he was still appearing in dreams both awake and asleep.

I figured if I was ever going to get the chance to be with him again, I better do it for the right reasons. (Those reasons are still unclear today and we are no better now then we were then because do-overs are RARE !) Cher takes the cake on this one cause even though time pressed on it took her mind, body and spirit to catch up to her chronological age today. Her perseverence and determination to be the best for as long as she could be to fans, husbands, lovers and friends, is all she can do. When it is done, I geuss it is done.

Second chances are very difficult and even third are more impossible but if by chance the second time comes around on the jukebox, don't repeat those things that soured things the last time. You would think you are smarter but where love is concerned, it is complicated. We take our mates for who they are to a point and regrettably try to change them if they do not meet our standards. This just pushes them further away making second or third chances null and void. But as the song states, if you could what would you do or say different? My difference is NOT being what he expected before and see what happens . . .
