and the diaper comes offLOCATION: a friend's dads birthday party , Lyndhurst, OhioYEAR: 1978TAGS: laughter, daddys, good times, love, childhoodPUBLISHED: April 29, 2008For about two hours it was just us with the two youngest siblings of the Roth household, decorating for the dad's birthday surprise party with everyone including the guest of honor running late. The golf tournament ended about an hour ago and the marina was not going to open up for another six hours at least. I frosted the cake, I rolled the frankfurters in dough, I mixed up the four-cheese macaroni and cheese, I put the streamers up and sequined the carpet appropriately. M.R. and the youngest siblings sang and danced to Abba music all day long. They especially loved mama Mia, it was their fave upbeat tune with a catchy phrase, I even found myself singing it. While everything is done and a few more guests had arrived, I was getting nervous that something would go wrong. The caterers brought everything else like lox, bagels, cream cheese, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and two loaves of fresh bread. I trayed everything up nicely and placed it on the long aqua-tableclothed table in front of the big picture window. A wonderful sight and daddy roth was very happy when he finally arrived with new wife and gifts, lots of gifts. mama Mia is playing for the sixth time and daddy roths youngest boy runs right up to him loosing his diaper in the process jumping up into daddys arms yelling happy birfday ! It was comical and poignant, as his momma just giggled her way into the bathroom to relieve herself !
