Maybe you've noticed. The song intros with the sound of bells like men at buds would ring when they quit.

I can only come up with one song by the Pretenders. That happens to come from the G.I. Jane soundtrack. At least it's a song not a whole lot of people might know about by them. G.I. Jane is a fantastic, freaking movie - I don't care what the IMDB rating says. I've watched it only that one time but it still sticks in my mind like the movie I can't get enough of. For a gal like me, it'd more likely be because Viggo Mortensen, i.e. Master Chief, shows a rather nice ass in those tight shorts (on the lines of Jim Dangle in Reno 911) rather than Demi Moore''s bald head and astonishing buffness.

The song is my idea of a stroke of genius in musical sound designing into the movie. One the lines of - all the women out there know they agree - Dirty Dancing. What is this song but one about independence, sacrrifices made in love, and the memories we hold onto wondering if we're regretful.

The answer is the anagrammatical NO.

I'd want to put myself in Demi's shoes during the scene - when she bailed. She was went home with her significant half, also a man of the forces, feeling out of touch with reality because she actually has the presense of a woman.

Why here? I must be me cold winter longering to be sitting outside my house and staring out at the world.
