You look at and get to know me and Patty and where we're from and you get a glimpse of something subtle and unconventional. We breathed music and she will always be my go to girl for a good show. We met outside on line outside Irving Plaza on a snowy winter's day. That's right. The Wallflowers were inside doing sound check. That's where we met. A concert story for another time.

After we met, she kept introducing me to music I'd keep digging. Naturally we'd hit up venue after venue for a good show. We always preferred small, intimate, cozy places where you can tear off the bassist's shirt if your tried.

I can't mention Patty without mentioning Sarah Slean. I can't seem to get enough of the Canadians - you'll see. Sarah will bring me to my knees and she'll bring chills up my spine. You won't hear another voice like hers and you won't hear anyone tickle keys like she does.

There would be no better way than sharing the enthusiasm with Patty. We'd for years hit up venues and bars all over the city with her. With Sarah Slean, my favorite was seeing her multiple times at the Fez, before they shut down. Too bad because it was one hell of a great bar and restaurant. You'd always be so close the music runs through you, all while kicking back at a table with a drink, with food, with conversation.

I'll always remember Sweet Ones for the essense of how she jams. I think the chord progression goes Fm, C#, Ab, Eb. Here that live and the adrenaline rushes through your veins. That song always got me pumped like Eye of the Tiger for a dude.
