I love Chris Cornell! I know Im a heterosexual male but the guy is awesome. Great singer, great songwriter, Jesus Christ look-a-like. I love all the soundgarden stuff and used to hang out in a record store during the Seattle movement and when this came out I was exstatic. There were a couple hits on BadMotorFinger but when I heard Jesus Christ Pose it changed the game. The riff in this song is insane and it follow the rhythm of the bass and drums which makes it just groove like a mofo. As if that wasnt cool enough, there are Cornells lyrics and vocals. The ending of the song is incredible where Cornell just goes up and up on the word poor and hits notes that no man should be able to hit. Its not just a studio trick sice I have seen him do it live multiple times. I recommend listening to this if you dont know it and take it all in. Its Soundgarden at the top of their game!
