VernonYEAR: 1983TAGS: kid casettePUBLISHED: August 27, 2008I had discovered that I could record music onto casettes, and that I could use the same tape recorder that I used to save programs for my computer to carry around - without headphones, mind you - and listen to this really cool song, "Pop Muzik" whenver I wanted. I carried this tape recorder with the same song and same tape for three days, rewinding and replaying constantly.... much to the chagrin of my family. I was only reinforcing their belief that I was "off". It was in the "Amvets" (look it up) with my family that they finally said "ENOUGH!". After that, I had to get a pair of headphones. This was before the walkman craze, by about two years IIRC.
