"Head Over Heels" was a song by Tears For Fears that really connected with. It took me back to the days in high school when I had a crush on some girl who didn't know I existed and I usually had no idea or plan on how to actually talk to her. I had to make up a reason or an "accidental" situation where I would find myself in the position of making communication. An accidental"brush against" in the hall, a dropped book, a stupid question-anything.

In the video of Head Over Heels, Roland Orzabal(the lead singer) sings about this beautiful blonde girl who happens to be a librarian(how
many actual librarians look like the girl in the video?). The whole video takes place in the library and he is singing his heart out.

I wanted to be with you alone/And talk about the Weather
I'm lost in admiration/Could I need you this much?
Oh you're wasting my time/Just just just wasting time

Something happens that I'm Head Over Heels
I never find out, till I'm Head Over Heels
Soemthing happens that I'm Head Over Heels
Ah, Don't take my heart/don't break my heart
Don't don't, don't throw it away...

I remember the synthesizer solo and the guy playing it looks like he just fell off the boat, and yet, he drags his finger across the keys and the solo just comes out perfect. It' s pretty lazy and cool and I have tried to play that part on an organ or keyboardand it never sounds the same, which tells me I should keep my day job. However, if some guy who looks like the one playing the keyboard(scruffy and bearded, ripped jean jacket and all) can wind up playing keyboard for Tears For Fears,
I know I should never, ever give up looking for the girl of my dreams.
