Even Bad Men Love Their MamasLOCATION: Car , Augusta, GAYEAR: 2007TAGS: Breaking Benjamin, MomPUBLISHED: February 27, 2008For awhile in 2007, my car had broken down and was taking some time to fix. I had to reluctantly get a ride from my mom to work everyday. It wasnt so bad. I actually got to talk to my mom and joke around about stuff for the first time in quite awhile. It was a thirty minute drive to my job, so it was about an hour round trip that I was around her. Being the mom that she is, she allowed me to listen to my music before I got to work even though she couldnt stand it. I always found it amusing when she would start singing some of the songs that I repeatedly listened to, even though shed turn the radio if given half the chance. One song brings back to mind all of the car rides she gave me. The Diary of Jane, which seems a strange song to remind you of your mom, brings her to mind every time I hear it. She never really started singing The Diary of Jane, just a few others, but she did mention it while it was playing one day. She nearly ruined my favorite song of the time for me. During the chorus she decided to look at me and say I cant believe hes sitting there singing about some girls diarrhea. I looked at her, shook my head, and proceeded to laugh my head off. I shared some good times joking around with my mom, which is probably where I get my sense of humor. Thanks to her, whenever my favorite song comes on, all I hear is try to find my place, in the diarrhea of Jane. Thanks Mom.
