I loved 'Surfer Rosa' the second I heard it, I admit. I'm a total Pixies dork, but for some reason I never got around to hearing 'Doolittle'. Small town, no record stores, Wal-Mart doesn't care anything decent.. anyways, I received a burned copy one day, and this song, as the lead track, blew me away. I listened to the song at least 10 times in a row, mesmerized at how incessantly catchy the Pixies best material always is. 'Doolittle' is quite different from 'Rosa', and it took some getting used to. Now, I hold all their albums in equal regard, and just appreciate the fact that there will always be this song abnout "Un Chien Andalou" to tide me over for the pop buzz.
