How I got into Neil

LOCATION: Camping , San Lujs Obispo, CA

YEAR: 1990

TAGS: introduce, Neil Young

PUBLISHED: August 17, 2008

It was with Craig Brenizer. We were camping. He kept playing this album, over and over. I was like, "What IS this?!" I never got tired of listening to it, so when we got home I bought it and practically wore it out. Soon, I was looking for any and all Neil Young albums I could get my poor college student hands on. Luckily, it was an age of CD transfer, so there were plenty of used records to be found, and I soon had quite the collection of Neil rareties and maistream releases. I was hooked. I love Neil and I owe it all to Craig. Thanks, man. I'll never foget you. Did you know that your actions have placed me at Neil's concerts 25 times over the years, connected me witha wonderful group of people over the Internet, and have had me crying and laughing over many songs through the ages? There is no artist better than Neil Young. He blows me away every time he writes a new album.
