RepeatLOCATION: car, Cedar Grove, NJYEAR: 1991TAGS: repeat, carPUBLISHED: February 11, 2008Okay, so I am aware that it's NOT cool to like (or ever have liked) Michael Bolton. But in 1991, I was an impressionable 8 years old, and I did like him. A lot. My closest aunt bought me the album Time, Love, and Tenderness on tape. (I am also aware that listening to tapes is not hip.) However, the only tape player I had access to was the one in my mother's car, which I did not know how to operate. Every time I popped the tape in, it would automatically switch to side B, and play "When A Man Loves a Woman." Of course, I would eject the tape, flip it over, and try again. However, the tape player continued to switch to side B, playing "When A Man Loves a Woman" over and over and over. Finally, my mom shouted "Enough! Now I hate this song!" and I gave up. Honestly, I don't think I've listened to a single note of that song since that day.
