When tragedy strikes everyone is there to comfort and console you for the first couple weeks. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciated everything that everyone did for me during that time and it helped to have them around. However, what I’ve found through that experience is that after that initial period they all go back to their own lives and you are left to deal with the tragedy after the numbness wears off pretty much on your own, unless you have at least one good, true, and forever friend.
