You Want To Do What?

There are really a bunch of oddities that I can associate with this song, but there are two that stand out above them all.

The first one is when I was talking to a friend of mine and he was going on about his cousin's wedding.  Out of nowhere, he started cracking up laughing.  Normally, I would abstain from asking what he was laughing about, but he went on for, I'd guess about half an hour.

I finally got ticked enough to ask, "All right, what the hell are you on about?"

And he tells me about the couple's first dance as newlyweds.

To this song.

Considering this song is basically about really wanting to cheat on your current girlfriend with an ex, I'm at a loss to explain why the newlyweds decided to dance to this song.  So far the only explanation I can come up with involves a flying elephant, meeting in a club bathroom, and the Green Fairy.  And if you don't get that reference, you kinda suck.

The final odd selection I can remember is when I first broke up with a girlfriend of mine.

She immediately changed her ringtone from "Come What May," from Moulin Rouge, to, you guessed it...

This song.

Which, I suppose, is fine and all.  I mean, it's a nice tune.  But still.

It just makes you go "Hmm..." doesn't it?
